jacques cousteau named the sea of cortez the aquarium of the world for a reason: with the cooler waters of the north and the warmer waters of the south, we never know what the adventure will bring. embarking in san jose del cabo and venturing all the way to puerto peñasco, we will have a chance to explore over 700 miles of the midriff islands. embark on the beloved rocio del mar with us and brace yourself for whales, dolphins, sea lions, sharks, octopus, blennies, dancing jawfish, and more.

please note that we do recommend a minimum of 30 dives and an advanced certification for this trip.

day 1

this trip embarks in san jose del cabo. please plan on arriving in sjd before 4 pm on embarkation day. marina puerto los cabos is about 25 minutes from the airport by taxi. the cost is approximately $60 for two people.

dinner will be served at approximately 7 pm.

isla cerralvo, also known as jacques cousteau island / 3-4 dives

isla espiritu santo and wrecks salvaterra and fang / 3-4 dives

day 4

isla sspiritu santo / 3 dives and night dive with mobula rays

day 5

isla las animas / 3-4 dives

day 6

isla danzante / 3 dives and an afternoon hike at honeymoon beach

day 7

isla coronado / 4 dives

day 8

isla san ildefonso / 3-4 dives

day 9

isla san oedro mártir / 3-4 dives

day 10

isla aalsipuedes / isla las animas

day 11

isla angel de la guarda / 3 dives with a sunset cruise with sea lions

bahía de los angeles / 2 dives / snorkel with whale sharks

the boat will return to puerto peñasco in the early morning, and passengers must be ready to depart by 7 am.

most guests use head out to rocky point to get to phoenix sky harbor airport (airport code phx). the shuttle will pick up passengers promptly upon disembarking. the trip takes 4 ½ hours and will cross the international border approximately one hour after departure. the cost is about $115 per person.
